Privacy Notice
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This notice explains how Probus ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit this site or enquire about an audit, a technical classification analysis, or a consulting engagement. It is a draft pending review by counsel.
Who we are
Probus is a trading name of ProbusAI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17349753, with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. ProbusAI Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact hello@probusai.com.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries. When you email us or use the enquiry form, we process your name, email, organisation, and message to respond and, if you proceed, to scope an engagement. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding.
- Engagement records. During an audit, classification, or consulting engagement we process the information you provide. This is governed by the engagement letter and, where applicable, a data processing agreement. Where we are instructed by a law firm, the instructing firm remains controller of its client's personal data and we act on its instructions.
- Technical data. Standard server and security logs used to keep the site available and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data and do not use it to train AI models.
Confidentiality
Client information obtained during an engagement is treated as confidential and used only for that engagement, in line with our code of conduct. Confidentiality survives the end of the engagement.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise a right, email hello@probusai.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
